Are Computers Male or Female?

November 01, 2005

A group of women concluded that computers should be referred to in the male gender because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they are the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you relaize that, if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

A group of men, on the other hand, decided that computers should definately be referred to in the female gender because:

1. No one but their Creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yoruself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

"...all Christians should stand up and tell it like they see it. Let the chips fall where they will. Don't worry if the public doesn't even agree with your most basic assumptions. Your job is not to win. Your job is not to control this society. Your job is to say what God wants said." - John Piper

""God is not after perfecting me to be a specimen in His showroom; He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let Him do what He likes." - Oswald Chambers
