What Have You Learned?
November 07, 2004
Anna, a guest blogger from What In Tarnation, made a post today about some things that she has learned in life up to this point, since she is celebrating her 25th birthday. I thought this was a good idea, so I am going to post some things I have learned in my 25 years of life. Go to WIT, read her post and wish Anna a happy birthday!
Ok, here it goes, some things I have learned in the past 25 years:
Having friends you can trust is important. A good example of this would be when you are installing new electrical outlets in a house.
Friends who tell you the power is really off are not always correct in their assessment of the breaker box.
When being electrocuted, your body makes quick and sudden movements. This makes for a terrible moment if your head is under the kitchen cabinets.
Spray painting the neighbors house, fence, trash cans, and dog is always fun, unless you get caught.
Everyone makes mistakes, and most mistakes are fixable.
There are consequences to mistakes that are sometimes unfixable.
Hot oil and fire do not mix well.
Paint for the kitchen ceiling is expensive and black is hard to cover up.
Sleeping in Science class can be dangerous if you miss the day about not mixing bleach and ammonia.
Running at a glass door with your arm and hand extended in front of you will get you out of school for a day or two. And stitches, did I mention stitches.
The grass always looks greener on the other side, until you are standing on the other side.
Eating an entire bag of sugar free candy is like swallowing an entire bottle of laxative.
It's hard to change who you are if you are trying to do it alone.
A sure way to get a 10 year old to never eat Bratwurst again is to tell him that it is a donkey’s private part.
Hitting golf balls towards the house is almost always a bad idea.
Keeping your spare key in your vehicle makes it all too easy for the thief who is stealing it.
What have you learned in your life span?

I'm sitting in my house alone, laughing hysterically.
I hope there is not a hidden camera anywhere!

I have learned that if you are being kidnapped the ppl at your school will stand and stare at you in amazement!
doing donuts in the middle of the street will get you pulled over.
Having a father who is a minister will get you out of almost all local police trouble! lol
when a friend says to you umm... lets just cut this wire and see what happens! that might be time to rethink the project.

I have learned that through it all there is always someone out there who is worse off than you.
Nightmares go away when morning comes.
Time heals pain.
Forgiveness is medicine for the soul.
I am learning that grace helps pull you out of rutts.
Life is very, very short.
God is always there even when you can't see Him.
And love will always remain.

Dude! You always make me laugh!!!
I'm sorry to say it's been too long since I've stopped by.
Hmmm....something I've learned in my 31 years on this earth is that laughter fixes just about anything. If you can't laugh about anything and everything, something is wrong with you!
Bless you!
