Avoiding Evil

“Examine everything carefully…abstain from every form of evil.”

I just finished two of my seminary finals today, one in Hebrew and one in Baptist History. After doing that and driving an hour and a half back home, I am so tired. I need to post, but honestly, I don’t feel like doing that either. It is draining to study all night long, all morning long, and then set for 5 hours in two tests and then drive home. Only one final left and then I am home free for the Christmas season!

For now, I am outta here. Maybe I will post later. Or tomorrow. Or next week.

So until then, you can check out one of my favorite review blogs, The Impulsive Buy

  1. Rodney Olsen Said,

Such a shame that Christmas for many is a deadline. It’s all gotta be done before Christmas.

I hope you get opportunity to enjoy your Christmas break.

  2. Jim Shultz Said,

If you have not seen the UCC commercial, you need to see it. It is depressing. It portrays churches (accept the UCC, of course) as being places where only well-dressed white folks are allowed. They show two body guards refusing the entry of a gay couple, an african-american male, a hispanic girl, and a man in a wheel chair. What has not been debated yet is the fact that they are lumping homosexuals into the minorities. That is frustrating. If someone wants to practice homosexuality, that is their concern, but to consider themselves a minority?? What is going on in our non-thinking culture???

  3. Jim Shultz Said,

You can find the commercial at the following sites:

  4. Jim Shultz Said,

Forgive my above post where I used “accept” where I should have used “except”.

  5. Anna Said,

I feel your pain, Pressed. I don’t have “finals” in the sense of tests, but I have had a lot of big papers due. I just finished a 30-pager…”just finished” as in, like, 10 minutes ago. Just think of how relieved you’ll feel when that last final is over.
