Avoiding Evil

“Examine everything carefully…abstain from every form of evil.”

I had to do a presentation on Premillennial Dispensationalism in my New Testament class on Monday. I found a couple charts that show a basic timeline of events and the seven dispensations. These charts are really cool. They were drawn before 1920, which means the copyright has expired and they are open to the public, so feel free to print, copy, and use them if you wish. The Failure Of Man

If you are wondering, premillennial dispensationalism is essentially the view Tim LaHaye has taken in the Left Behind series, and you’ll see these charts reflect that. This view of premillennialism believes that Jesus raptures the church before the tribulation in a secret manner (like a theif in the night) and then His actual 2nd coming is after the tribulation. The historic premillennialism view believes that we are not raptured until after the tribulation because that is when the 2nd coming of Christ is and the Bible only speaks of Him coming back twice, not three. It is an interesting study really.

  1. Tim Said,

I used to own Larsons books and have even duplicated some of his timelines in the margins my Bible. That was before I learned the errors of dispensationalism. You’ll discover these errors too if you keep on studying!
