With the help of Mr. Wright I have decided on the memory verse and focus of our Mission Trip this year. Playing off of the idea given to us by One Day ‘03 we decided that we are going to make an acclamation CD to play in the church vans on the way down to Charleston. The CD will direct each of the three vans in times of prayer, praise and worship, bible reading, and discussion that will take place on the 16 hour van ride down to South Carolina. Not only will it pass the time and prepare hearts for missions, but it will also help to build stronger relationships with one another.
The memory verse will be:
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, ” HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO (23) BRING GOOD NEWS!” Romans 10:14-15
The idea being that we are ambassadors for Christ and we are going to share the GOOD NEWS! Faith in Christ comes from hearing the word of Christ (Romans 10:17) and we are going to Charleston to share the Word so that some might hear and have faith.
So what message are we sharing? What has God given us to preach to the people in order that they may hear and have faith in Him?
“…the word of faith which we are preaching,
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation…. WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” - Romans 10:9-10;13
If you feel led, please pray for our group and pray that God would prepare the hearts of the people that He wants us to preach the good news to in order that they may receive Him.

My dad lives in Charleston. I used to live there for about 10 years, on Folly Beach (a little Island off the coast). Go witness to him.
